Spring Watercolor Classes 2013

Six-week watercolor classes   $80

The Wed. morning class meets from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00, beginning April 17th.

The Thu. morning class meets from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00, beginning April 18th.

We will start at the beginning and work through the thought process of what makes a good painting, why we want to do a certain subject and how that translates into a painting. Using some of the simple rules of composition, we will be deciding what we want to "say" in a painting, and how to say it in the simplest way.

In other words, in this session, we will be concentrating on composition and simplicity, and doing small studies to work on technique.

With the individual assistance and critique, along with plenty of demonstrations and instruction, beginners, as well as the more experienced, will be comfortable in these classes.

Seventh Annual Summer Kick-Off 

Watercolor Sketchbook Journal Workshop

Friday, June 14th, 2013  -  10:00 to 4:00    $60

The location of this workshop is in my backyard at my home in Petoskey.  We will kick off summer by spending the day painting in our journals - learning easy techniques to help you create beautiful, colorful pages.

The purpose of this workshop is to not only  spend a relaxing and inspiring day painting, but to encourage you to carry your sketchbook everywhere you go and see the beauty in your every day life.

Rain or shine.
Please bring a lunch.
I will have Aquabee watercolor sketchbooks available to purchase.
